From february 01st to march 7th our community will be running a great new art competition. You can take part of this contest by reading these important informations and following the rules.

They will indicate the name of the artist and the name of the winning piece, explaining the reasons of their choices.
Stanley Lau
Stanley Lau is a wonderful artist producing stunning images, a creative director and a ultra-followed painter at DeviantART.com with more then 6 millions hits.
Imaginary Studios, his company based in Singapore where he's working as Creative Director, was founded by friends, Stanley “Artgerm” Lau, Kendrick “Kunkka” Lim, a game designer who worked previously at a Tokyo-based game studio and Kai “Ukitakumuki” Lim, who at 19 had already art directed two major game mods for Half-Life 2 including Hull Breach and Nuclear Dawn.
Some of the projects and properties handled by Imaginary include titles such as, Dragonlance Chronicles, GI Joe, Batman, Justice League, Superman, Exalted, Witchblade, Madam Mirage, Contra 4, F.E.A.R. NBA Street Basketball, Dungeons & Dragons, Powerpuff Girls, Call of Duty, DOTA, World of Warcraft, Warhammer, Soul Calibur 3 & 4, Street Fighter, Sleepy Hollow, Star Wars Galaxies, Legend of the Five Rings, Pathfinder, as well as promotional and licensing material for major motion pictures including Spiderman 3, Surf’s Up, and Batman: The Dark Knight.
Other than the above projects, some amazing images created for comics companies and games industries one of his most known production is The Pepper Project.
Cris Ortega 
Cris Ortega was born in Valladolid (Spain) in 1980, and took interest in art and literature since she was a child, with special love for the horror genre. Although it was a great hobby for her, she wanted to study aeronautics or astronomy as a career. It was on 1999 when she draw her first comic about one of the short stories that she had written before, and from that moment on she began to work seriously on this profession.
While she was studying as Superior Technician on Illustation in the Art School of Valladolid, she began to publish her work on fanzines, magazines and publishers out of Spain, working at the same time as a draw teacher and exposing her work on several exhibitions.
When she finished her studies of art, she worked for several years as Art Director on the advertising agency Sm2, spending her free time making commissions, book covers, and the edition of the comic anthology Shade.
At the end of 2005 she began to work as illustrator for Norma Editorial, publishing with them -one and a half year later- her first artbook with written stories, Forgotten, that has been translated to several languages. The second volume of this series was published on 2008.
During all her years of profession, she worked on several fields of activity, from graphic design and advertising to design of figures and games, concept art, roleplaying and videogames, comic, photography, cover design and logos. Her most recent artworks had been published on artbooks like Exotique and Spectrum, and in several merchandising products, like jigsaws and posters. Right now she's working on the third volume of Forgotten and on several commission works.
Bobby Chiu and Kei Acedera
Bobby Chiu’s art career started at the age of two with a box of crayons and his family’s white living room walls. He got his first professional art job when he was seventeen years old, designing Disney, Warner Bros., and Star Wars toys at Thinkway Toys in Toronto, Canada. Bobby has since won a number of awards for his independent work. He hates traffic and line ups but loves watching the traffic jams while drinking his morning coffee from his studio apartment.
He presently works as an illustrator for film and television, teaches digital painting online at Schoolism.com (www.schoolism.com), publishes art books, and works on other top secret projects.
Kei Acedera is an illustrator and art director at Imaginism Studios. She specializes in children’s books, visual development and character design for film and television. She co-produces our series of art books with Bobby Chiu. Her art oozes charm and broad-based appeal, they never fail to bring a smile to people’s faces.
Kei started her art career at the age of 16 painting upscale murals for mansions and casinos. Acedera studied animation at Sheridan College for 3 years but left early to start her career as an illustrator and designer. Since then she has illustrated (New York Times) best selling books for Harper Collins as well as designed for TV and feature films for Disney, Sony and many others.
Philip Straub
Philip Straub is the creator of magnificent illustrations such as those from his latest creation Utherworlds.
He typically receives an average of 7 million hits per month on www.philipstraub.com. It is one of the highest rated single artist sites in the world and is usally ranked around the top 100,00 sites in the world according to alexa .com.
